Senior Consultant — Business Transformation
Location: Austin, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, or Minneapolis–St. Paul
About FlexPoint Consulting
FlexPoint partners with clients to envision, plan, and deliver business transformation — making our clients the hero of the story and equipping them to succeed long after the engagement. We prioritize the “people stuff” because big programs rarely fail due to technology alone. Our aim is lasting results, aligned incentives, and teaching teams “how to fish.”
We’re a small, growing firm and we’re intentional about building a place people genuinely love to work. We care about outcomes more than seat time. We value balance, trust, and autonomy. If you’re energized by meaningful work but burned out on the grind of a big firm, this might be the right move.
Why this role matters
We’re looking for a seasoned consultant who has hands-on experience helping clients plan and deliver complex, technology-centric business transformation and who is excited to go deep on program execution, not just strategy and roadmapping. This role is primarily about delivery: rolling up your sleeves, leading workstreams, managing large-scale programs, and creating tangible outcomes for clients.
What you’ll do
Deliver for clients
Lead or contribute to engagements such as:
Large-Scale Program & Project Management — owning and driving complex, multi-workstream programs from initiation through delivery; managing scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholders; keeping teams aligned and accountable when complexity is high and the stakes are real
Product Management — understanding what stakeholders need (and why!), then delivering solutions that truly meet those needs
Discovery & Visioning and Business Transformation Roadmaps — defining a compelling technology strategy and actionable plan to advance client organizations to their desired future state
IT Modernization Planning — developing custom plans to modernize technology platforms and streamline processes
AI Strategy & Enablement — helping clients navigate the evolving AI landscape, identify practical use cases, and build readiness for responsible adoption
Change Management & User Adoption — equipping program and team leaders to excel through transformative change
Vendor/Partner Selection and Post-Merger Integration — helping clients understand what matters most and reliably achieve it
You’ll be expected to turn chaos and confusion into clarity and alignment, build trust across stakeholders, and communicate crisply with executives and delivery teams alike.
Contribute to Our Team
Share knowledge generously: refine playbooks, frameworks, and templates that make the whole team better
Contribute to firm growth by delivering excellent work every day and supporting business development efforts as appropriate
Contribute thought leadership (posts, talks, artifacts) that showcase our pragmatic POV on transformation, modernization, and AI
Help recruit, coach, and grow a high-trust, high-performance team that’s welcoming and inclusive
What you’ll bring
Must‑have experience
5+ years delivering stellar results in consulting or client services, with meaningful experience in business transformation (strategy → plan → delivery)
Consulting background is required—you know how to show up for a client, navigate ambiguity, and drive outcomes in an advisory context
Proven ability to lead large, complex programs—managing workstreams, stakeholders, timelines, and risks simultaneously
Experience in technology, data, or analytics transformation is strongly preferred; we’re also open to strategy & operations consulting backgrounds for candidates eager to grow into the tech and AI space
Experience at a recognized consulting firm (big or boutique) is a plus; but more importantly, you’re ready to join a small, growing team and help build something special
Master-level communication: clear, structured, audience-aware, and able to make complex topics understandable for executives and practitioners alike
Mindset & behaviors
Humble, hungry, smart, creative—a servant leader who solves puzzles, sees the big picture, and dives into details when it matters
Client‑first, team‑centric—you generate energy, go the extra mile, and make clients successful without creating dependency
People > process > tech—you know transformation succeeds when people are equipped and engaged
Teach, equip, and elevate—you share tools/knowledge so clients can thrive after we leave
Nice-to-have
Experience shaping AI roadmaps, evaluating emerging tools, and guiding clients through adoption strategies
Prior exposure to M&A integration, project-to-product transition, and/or large-scale program delivery
Thought leadership examples (blogs, talks, frameworks) in your portfolio—especially on modernization, AI, or customer/employee experience
Location, travel, and work authorization
Primary location: Austin, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, or Minneapolis–St. Paul
Work model: Hybrid, remote‑first — you’ll work primarily from home, with time at client offices as needed for collaboration and delivery. Occasional U.S. travel may be required.
Work authorization: authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions.
We care about outcomes more than seat time; we’ll collaborate on a schedule that supports clients and sustains your well‑being.
