Business Transformation Intern
Location Options: Austin, Houston, Dallas, or Minneapolis–St. Paul
About FlexPoint Consulting
FlexPoint partners with clients to envision, plan, and deliver business transformation — making our clients the hero of the story and equipping them to succeed long after the engagement. We prioritize the “people stuff” because big programs rarely fail due to technology alone. Our aim is lasting results, aligned incentives, and teaching teams “how to fish.”
We’re a small, growing firm and we’re intentional about building a place people genuinely love to work. We care about outcomes more than seat time. We value balance, trust, and autonomy. If you’re energized by meaningful work and looking to invest in a high-trust, high-performance team, this might be the right move.
Why this role matters
We’re looking for a humble, hungry, and smart intern to work with FlexPoint team members in helping clients plan and deliver complex, technology-centric business transformation. This role is primarily about delivery: rolling up your sleeves and contributing tangible results for the team and clients.
What you’ll do
Deliver for clients
Contribute to engagements such as:
Large-Scale Program & Project Management — adding value to our efforts in driving complex, multi-workstream programs from initiation through delivery
Product Management — understanding what stakeholders need (and why!), then delivering solutions that truly meet those needs
Discovery & Visioning and Business Transformation Roadmaps — working with the team to define a compelling technology strategy and actionable plan to advance client organizations to their desired future state
IT Modernization Planning — enabling custom plans to modernize technology platforms and streamline processes
AI Strategy & Enablement — helping clients navigate the evolving AI landscape, identify practical use cases, and build readiness for responsible adoption
Change Management & User Adoption — equipping program and team leaders to excel through transformative change
Vendor/Partner Selection and Post-Merger Integration — helping clients understand what matters most and reliably achieve it
You’ll be expected to communicate crisply with team members and clients and build trust across stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
Must‑have experience & interests
1 to 3 years business- or technology-focused education
Keen interest in delivering stellar results for clients in business transformation (strategy → plan → delivery)
Conversant in several areas of our expertise, and interest in gaining practical experience in more of them
Productive, client-focused communication: clear, structured, audience-aware, and able to make complex topics understandable for client stakeholders and team members
Mindset & behaviors
Humble, hungry, smart, creative—you’re willing to jump in and solve puzzles on behalf of clients and team members
Client‑first, team‑centric—you generate energy, go the extra mile, and make clients successful without creating dependency
People > process > tech—you know transformation succeeds when people are equipped and engaged
Primary location options: Austin, Houston, Dallas, or Minneapolis-St. Paul
Work model: Hybrid, remote‑first — you’ll work primarily from home, with time in office as needed for collaboration and delivery.
Work authorization: authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions.
We care about outcomes more than seat time; we’ll collaborate on a schedule that supports clients and sustains your well‑being.
Location, travel, and work authorization
Work schedule: At least 10 hours per week, on a defined schedule during working hours
Salary range: $130,000 to $170,000
Work schedule & compensation
We make clients the hero of the story and co-create solutions that teach clients how to fish, so success lasts.
We invest in human‑centered change and pragmatic delivery—because tech succeeds when people do.
We favor value/deliverable‑based contracts; aligned incentives help everyone win.
We’re building a team of curious, values-driven, low-ego consultants who share knowledge and have each other’s backs.
We’re committed to real work-life balance. We protect it because we believe sustainable pace produces better work and better people
We’re energized and guided by our aspirational culture
